We check in with the Ferry at 7am and cross the Cook straight, cruise through the beautiful Marlborough sound, and arrive in to Picton for lunch.

The 3 hour bus drive to Nelson and Motueka will take us past the Queen Charlotte Track and the Pelorus river (Lord of the Rings location) and jump into the fresh mountain waters. We check into our accommodation for the next two nights.

Abel Tasman National Park offers amazing scenery of native bush and pristine beaches. You can choose to kayak in the clear waters and have the opportunity to get up close with the NZ Fur Seal or alternatively, walk deep into the Abel Tasman Park for a picnic lunch on Anchorage Bay beach followed by activities and swimming. Then, an impressive water taxi ride back to Marahau Beach and return to Motueka.

Adrenaline junkies make sure your shoes are tied up well, because they will be hard to catch falling from 12,000ft – 16,000ft from an unnervingly small aircraft with ‘Abel Tasman Skydive‘. On a clear day you will be able to see the North Island / Mt Taranaki / Mt Ruapehu / Mt Tongariro. This is a highly rated jump spot and one you do not want to miss.
